Regional Vaccination Clinic in Centre County Open Daily for Final Week of Operations

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and Department of Health (DOH) today announced that the Regional Vaccination Clinic (RVC) at the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State’s University Park campus in Centre County, which is normally closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, will be open every day from June 8 through June 14 for one final week of operations.

“This clinic provided both the community, and students and staff at Penn State with the opportunity to get a vaccine in a convenient location,” said PEMA Director Randy Padfield. “The clinic contributed significantly to our overall vaccination efforts in Pennsylvania.”

All vaccine administration from June 8 - 14 will be on a walk-in basis and no appointments will be scheduled. The clinic is open to anyone who wishes to be vaccinated regardless of county of residence.

Dates and hours of operation at the RVC are as follows:

• Monday, June 14: 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine and Moderna vaccine are still available to visitors at the facility. For those who receive a first dose of Moderna during this period, information will be provided for how they can contact a vaccine provider to get their second dose.

As of June 6, 10,046 doses of the two-dose Moderna vaccine and single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine have been administered at the site, which began operations on April 9.

“Getting vaccinated adds the best protection against this virus making our communities a safer place to go back to the activities we have may missed over the past year,” Acting Secretary Alison Beam said. “We will continue to work with the thousands of vaccine providers across the state to ensure vaccine is available to those who want it. All residents can find the nearest vaccine opportunity to them by visiting vaccines.gov today.”

All Pennsylvanians age 12 and older are eligible to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine.

The Pennsylvania National Guard (PANG) and AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, LLC, a health organization contracted by PEMA for planning and staffing assistance at commonwealth-established vaccine sites, continue to staff operations at the site.
