Penn State Fall Arrival 2021

Arrive at Gate B of the Bryce Jordan Center at your scheduled move-in time. Parking is available in the Bryce Jordan Center East Lot. Staff will confirm that the student is eligible to check-in, based on the their vaccination status. Those students who are compliant will be able to enter BJC to check-in.

Family members are invited to the visit the Parents Program Welcome tent that will be located outside of Gate B. Restroom facilities and various information tables will also be accessible inside of Gate B. Parents and family members are not able to accompany the student for the housing check-in process, and should wait outside of Gate B (students will exit via Gate A). 

When you check-in, you will receive your room key and specific directions from the Bryce Jordan Center to a temporary unloading zone near your housing area. You will receive ONE temporary 20-minute parking pass for unloading your belongings. Students will also receive their Penn State id+ Card during the check-in process. 

Carts will be available in each housing area for sign out to use to move items into residence halls. The cart sign-out location will be indicated on the routing map provided to student during check-in process. 

Vehicle Information:

Only ONE unloading permit is given to student, which is a valid for ONE trip only to the housing area. The unloading permit cannot be used on more than one vehicle, and multiple unloading permits will not be issued.

If you have more than vehicle, the second vehicle will need to remain at the Bryce Jordan Center - we are not able to provide more than one parking permit. Load one vehicle with items, and passengers can walk or use the shuttle to the housing area. 

Large vehicles/U-Hauls/trailers/RVs are NOT permitted in housing area - parking space is tight and congested, and large vehicles cannot be accommodated for safety reasons. These type of vehicles must remain at Bryce Jordan Center.
