The Penn State men's basketball team has been selected for its 21st postseason appearance, accepting an invitation to play in the 81st National Invitation Tournament. The Nittany Lions (21-13) will host in-state foe Temple (17-15) Wednesday, March 14 at 8 p.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center. 

Penn State is a No. 4 seed in the 32-team tournament and will welcome the fifth-seeded Owls. The teams are meeting for the first time since Temple won at the buzzer in a 2011 NCAA Tournament first round game. The teams are meeting for the 93rd time overall and the first time in State College since the 2008-09 season.
