On the heels of a 21-win campaign and an appearance in the third round of the WNIT, the Penn State women's basketball program and head coach Coquese Washington have announced a 13-game non-conference slate, which includes six games played at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The breakdown of the schedule includes six home games, five true road contests and a pair of neutral site matchups. Five teams on the 2017-18 schedule advanced to the national postseason in 2016-17, while Manhattan is the lone newcomer to the record books on the 2017-18 ledger.
The Lady Lions will begin the 2017-18 campaign with a pair of games on their home floor, facing Siena of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in the season opener on Friday, November 10 before taking on Colonial Athletic Association member Drexel on Sunday, November 12.
After hosting the Blue Devils on November 20, the Lady Lions will head to Las Vegas, Nevada for a pair of games in the South Point Shootout.
A three-game homestand begins with Penn State hosting Wake Forest in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on November 30, followed by meetings with MAAC foe Manhattan on Sunday, December 3 and Fordham will venture to the BJC for the third straight season on Wednesday, December 6. The Lady Lions and Rams met in game two of the 2015-16 season and then again in the second round of the WNIT last season, with Penn State winning both contests.
