John Mulaney is a two-time Emmy and WGA award-winning writer, actor, and comedian. 

Currently, Mulaney’s 2021-2022 John Mulaney: From Scratch tour has sold out massive venues around North America from Madison Square Garden multiple times to the Hollywood Bowl and he continues to add more shows. 

In 2018, John Mulaney traveled the United States with sold out Kid Gorgeous tour, which was later released as a Netflix stand-up special and won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Special; In 2015, he released The Comeback Kid, also a Netflix original, which The AV Club called the “best hour of his career;” In 2012, his Comedy Central special New In Town had Ken Tucker of Entertainment Weekly hailing him as “one of the best stand-up comics alive.”

John Mulaney has been invited to host Saturday Night Live five times. He began writing for SNL in 2008 and created memorable characters such as ‘Stefon’ with Bill Hader and appeared as a “Weekend Update” correspondent. He has written for IFC’s Documentary Now! and Netflix’s Big Mouth, on which he voices the character of Andrew. In December 2019, the critically acclaimed and Emmy nominated musical variety special  John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch debuted on Netflix.

He’s also starred on Broadway in the runaway hit written and performed alongside Nick Kroll in Oh, Hello On Broadway.  The duo have since release a Netflix special of the same name, as well as Oh, Hello: The P’dcast, based off their characters Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland.  

John Mulaney will be at the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday, September 25 at 7PM, a home football weekend for Penn State fans.

Tickets start at $49.50* and are on sale NOW at ticketmaster.com. Limit eight tickets per purchase.  *Plus applicable taxes and fees.

Student Ticket Sales

Student tickets are available through Account Manager. Student discount is courtesy of The Penn State Student Fee Board.  Discount applies to certain tickets only, limited supply available.  Must present valid, University Park or Altoona student ID upon entry. Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available for purchase through the Bryce Jordan Center Box Office or through Ticketmaster.  We highly recommend patrons contact our ticket office directly (814) 865-5555, as our staff has more intimate knowledge of our facilities and can best serve our patrons with accessible seating needs.  Refer to our accessibility accommodations for details on interpretive services, wheelchair space locations, and guide animals.

Things You Should Know

Bag Policy

In line with the best practices at major entertainment venues, the Bryce Jordan Center utilizes walk-through metal detectors at all entry gates and restrictions on the size and type of bag that may be carried into the arena for all events. 

Fans are encouraged to avoid bringing bags into the arena. This would include backpacks, purses, briefcases, duffle bags, coolers, etc.

PERMITTED BAGS AT THE BRYCE JORDAN CENTER:
  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”.
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5” x 6.5”.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag, after proper inspection.

Fans will be asked to return non-approved bags or other prohibited items to their vehicle prior to arena entry. There is no check-in location for prohibited bags or items at the BJC.

All media representatives with necessary bags and equipment must enter the BJC at the media entrance to have each item inspected and tagged prior to entering the BJC.

Cell Phone Policy

This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, phones will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times, and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space. All pouches and equipment are routinely sanitized. The Yondr staff is trained and required to follow safety guidelines and hygiene protocols to practice social distancing, minimal contact and wear required personal protective equipment. Anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free experience.

Camera Policy

Flash photography, camera or recording equipment (including cameras with detachable lenses, any form of camera stand or audio/video recording devices, laptops or tablets) laser pointers or other electronics are strictly prohibited.

Parking Policy

General parking for Bryce Jordan Center events is available in the Jordan East, Stadium West and Port North lots. Additional Parking available in the East Parking Deck.

  • Parking requires a valid Penn State parking permit or payment of the event parking fee.
  • $20 day-of-event (cash only)
  • $11 pre-pay and save through ParkMobile
  • There is no charge for parking with a valid Penn State parking permit.
PARKMOBILE PREPAYMENT INFORMATION
  • Prepayment is required by 11:59 p.m. the day before the event or day-of-event rates will apply.
  • Guests must park at the lot selected on the ParkMobile website
  • Guests must present their ParkMobile QR code to event parking staff on their mobile device. Printed permits from the ParkMobile website will also be accepted.

Parking is provided and managed by Penn State Transportation Services.

Allergen Warning

The Bryce Jordan Center now offers products containing NUTS that are not individually packaged.  Products at this location may contain or come into contact with TREE NUTS or other allergens.

Persons visiting the Bryce Jordan Center are asked to follow all public health requirements to limit the potential for virus transmission, including:
